up with people
It's easy to feel discouraged. The news is full of some pretty bad stuff. But there are also bright spots, like the story of the woman who stood crying at the foreclosure sale of her own home and met a kind stranger who saw that she could help and did, just like that. She bought the crying woman's house and is renting it back to her at what she can afford. How wonderful for the foreclosed home owner to being given a chance to stay in her home and equally wonderful for the woman who found a way to make a huge, tangible difference in someone's life. I know there will be cynics about this story, but it seems like kindness, pure & simple, to me.
